Remembering My dear Dad

Remembering my dear Dad on his 9th death anniversary. It was on 2 November 2006, when I switched on my mobile the first message I saw was from my brother “Dad passed away” and that was one of the saddest messages I read in my life. It still haunts me. I knew he was leaving us one day but not this way, I could not be with him at his last moment as I was appearing for interview in the next few days for Asst. Prof in NCERT (I was not selected) Had it been now I would have even resigned from any post incase leave was not granted. During his funeral service, my brother put his cell in loudspeaker for me to listen.11001501_1400108226963528_100417460_o

He was a very strong person, very confident and ready to take risk for a good cause. He treated many sick people, even diseases that were difficult for some doctors to cure. He was a Govt servant, businessman, politician, writer, expert in traditional medicinal plants, good in folklores/songs, and a public leader. Inspite of his age, he never looked old, lots of special things about him to be remembered. Can’t wait to meet him again one day in Paradise!
